The Committee
further is responsible for disseminating information to the stakeholder
organizations on upcoming changes and;

Provides a
public forum for issues involving worker safety & health, consultation &
training and compliance;
·
Establish
operating rules for this body to further its work in caring for the workers’ of
·
Establish
procedures on how to set up, operate and get support for subcommittees for in
depth work, when required.

Promoting effective coordination and cooperation among the HIOSH
stakeholders and participating in the community aspect of governance of
Occupational Safety and Health in |

Formulating concerted strategic approaches to improve the safety and
health of workers in Hawaii through effective and fair compliance, the
best consultation practices available as well as training and outreach
for employers on practical approaches to managing safety and health in
the work place; |
(c) |
Enhancing effective information exchange among the organizations of the
HIOSH Advisory Committee and relevant organizations outside the group
dealing with occupational safety and health; |
(d) |
Bringing to the attention of HIOSH and to the relevant intergovernmental
bodies, issues concerning the safety and health of employees in |

Promoting public awareness of the seriousness of worker health and
safety statewide. |
